Microwave Apples with Cinnamon are a quick, single-serving of cinnamon-spiced apples cooked in a microwave-safe bowl. Pour over pita chips, oatmeal, or ice cream.
1packet of sweetener or a teaspoon of sugar - (I like Stevia)
¼teaspooncinnamon
¼teaspooncornstarch
1tablespoonwater
Instructions
Peel or don't peel 1 small to medium-sized apple, core and slice or dice. Place in a microwave-safe bowl along with 1 packet of sweetener or a teaspoon of sugar, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon cornstarch, and 1 tablespoon water.
Stir to mix the ingredients. Cover loosely.
Microwave on High for 2 minutes-- longer if you use a big apple.
Serve: Carefully uncover the bowl (it will be HOT and steamy) and pour the cooked apples over plain or cinnamon-sugar pita chips, flour tortilla chips, oatmeal, or ice cream.
